A family firm that goes the extra mile
ERL Group is a family-run storage and logistics business from Winsford, Cheshire, trading since 2008 — led by Joanne, our Managing Director, and kept moving by a team that treats every load like their own. From Smokehall Lane we run a large mixed fleet, from vans to 44-tonne artics, chilled, frozen and ambient, anywhere on the UK mainland. Reliable logistics, built on warehouse storage and a team that cares.

Led by Joanne, run like a family
Haulage is still an industry mostly led by men. ERL isn't. Our Managing Director is Joanne Roylance — a woman at the top of a sector that rarely looks like her, and the reason this business is sharp on compliance and soft on people without ever trading one for the other.
We wash the trucks like they're ours, because they are. We answer the phone at 3am, because someone needs us to. That's all the extra mile is — caring on purpose.
It's why the same care follows every load, whatever's on the plate — from a full 44-tonne artic to a single pallet for a corner shop.

Manchester's bee, with our heart
The worker bee is Manchester's symbol. After the Arena attack, a whole city rallied around it — a mark of unity, of ordinary people holding together and carrying on for one another. That meant something to this family. So the bee rides on every cab in our fleet, from the smallest rigid to the biggest artic.
Look closely at ours and you'll find one small difference: a heart on the bee's thorax. It isn't a logo flourish. It's the quiet promise underneath everything on this page — that the load, the customer and the community all get cared for on purpose.
And if the trucks are the bees, Winsford is the hive. Smokehall Lane is where every journey starts and ends — storage, cross-dock, and the yard the bees come home to.

Ribbons & causes
Every ribbon has a name behind it
The ribbons on our cabs aren't decoration. Each one is for a loved one — family, friends, neighbours — who faced an illness and fought it. Some are here to tell the tale; some we carry in their memory, mile after mile. Their stories are theirs, so we keep the details off the paintwork — but they're never off the road.
Across the fleet you'll also spot red for stroke awareness and light blue for prostate cancer. Every single one is personal.
